As a structural steel fabricator, we offer the following capabilities:
Detailing
The success of each project starts with quality shop drawings. Our experienced detailers provide the expertise needed to provide quality shop drawings while also identifying any design concerns in the early stages to avoid delays with the delivery of steel. We also offer expedited schedules for those fast tracked projects.
Estimating
Our estimating department consist of three estimators all with a minimum of 30 years experience in the steel business. Our firm has a very simple approach to bidding each and every project. If we decide to quote a project then we put a modest profit margin on the bottom line. We are “singles and doubles” hitters and never are trying to hit a home run on any given project. This is why we receive a lot of calls about negotiated work without even going through the bidding process.
Field Staff
Our field staff currently has 45 full time employees. We have enough workers to staff any project properly to ensure an “on time” start and a completion date that meets or exceeds the overall project schedule. Scheduling is something we take very seriously and we do what it takes to meet our customers needs and expectations.
Shop Staff
Our current shop staff consist of eighteen (18) workers which have been with our company for many years. Turnover in our shop department is very rare. The experience of our shop workers helps minimize any fabrication errors which helps us erect projects without any delays.
Project Management
Our firm currently has three (3) full time PM’s with a combined 75+ years of experience in the steel industry. Their attention to details is a key part in running a project. Prompt, courteous and professional service is what you will get when doing a project with the Steffy team. If and when problems do arise they are prompt and fair when expediting the corrective actions necessary to minimize any delays to the overall project schedule.
Miscellaneous Metals
Our company has a separate division devoted solely to the miscellaneous metals needs on a project. Our MM department employs eleven (11) full time shop workers and three (3) field workers. We also have a full time estimator and staff who specializes in miscellaneous metals bidding & estimating.
